Steps to connect USB Internet Dongles on Android tablet:

Step 1: First of all you will need a Android tablet with USB port along with USB Dongle adapter. Press menu button and in that select “Settings” option.

Step 2: Then select  the “Wireless & Networks” option and check whether Wi-Fi is connected or not. You can’t access Wi-Fi and internet dongle at the same time if Wi-Fi is not ON then you may proceed directly to step 4.

Step 3: If your Wi-Fi is ON then turn off by selecting the “Wi-Fi” option and there you can turn OFF your Wi-Fi.

Step 4: Then you have to connect your USB dongle to your Android tablet using USB dongle adapter. Then you have to enable 3G by selecting the “3G” option. Wait for about 1-2 minutes and you will be able to see signal strength indicator will show up on the status bar to the left of the battery status indicator. If you can’t see the signal strength indicator then your Internet Dongle is not been able to make connection with your ISP’s network tower and then you have to try it later.

Step 5: After that you have to select “Mobile Networks” after that select “Access Point Names” and be ensure that “Data enabled” option is ON if not then switch it ON. If you are on roaming then you also have to switch ON “Data roaming” option.

Step 6: After selecting “Access Point Names” blank screen will be shown, then click “Menu” button and then you have to select “New APN”. Then you have to enter Data card information in the specific field. After you have filled the information you have to click on “Menu” button.

Step 7: After that select “Save” option so as to save the setting which you have filled and then you can see the APN that you have made in the list of APNs. Then select the radio button so as to enable it as soon as you will enable it the radio button will go green.

Step 8: Then after 1-2 minute’s the time APN is enabled your tablets status bar will show the 3G logo, this is a sign that you have successfully connected to Internet. In case if there is delay in connection or connection fails then you have to Disable 3G option and wait for at least 30 seconds and enable 3G option again as shown in Step 4.
